Facial aesthetic ultrasound scanning (USS) has been available for many years, thanks to the pioneering work of specialists such as Dr Leonie Schelke, her training academy Cutaneous, and her colleagues at Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam.

However, aesthetic practitioners and patients are only now beginning to recognise how important ultrasound can be for education, training, treatment planning, complication management and overall patient safety.

This blog has been created to share insights from practitioners listed in the global Aesthetic Ultrasound Database & forms part of the Facial Aesthetic Ultrasound Scanning section of the website.

It brings together educational articles, clinical reflections and real-world perspectives from those using USS in aesthetic medicine.

 

The aim is to help patients better understand how ultrasound may support safer aesthetic care, while also helping practitioners learn from each other as this important field continues to develop.
