Balsam is the founder of DermRefine Skin Clinic in Mayfair, London. She is an Independent prescriber and an advanced skin specialist with a level 7 qualification in cosmetic injectables. She is also a member of the Society of Cosmetic (SCS) Scientists and the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC).

She has featured in various publications such as the Aesthetics Journal, Choice Magazine, Aesthetic Medicine, as well as Guru+Go. She has also contributed to the course material for the Cosmetic Medicine Post Graduate Diploma (PgDip) at the University of South Wales, demonstrating her passion for education and development in the Aesthetics Industry.
Her love of skin has gained her the position to present at the British Medical Association (BMA) in collaboration with the London Dermatology Centre, highlighting the effects of Metabolic Syndrome on the skin.

Scalp and hair health is an important part of her work. Being a clinical prescribing pharmacist, she has assessed many patients with hair loss concerns providing medical solutions to manage their conditions. This was further anchored by having trained with one of the leading hair centers in the UK.
She also has an NVQ level 4 in skin laser hair removal and advanced skin treatments.
With over 20 years of clinical pharmacy and leadership experience, her mission is to advocate the right of her patients to look and feel beautiful by providing a complete care solution for their skin health.
